Subcision

Subcision is a safe and minor surgical procedure used to treat rolling acne scars. Using a tribeveled hypodermic needle, a puncture is made adjacent to the acne scar to break the fibrotic strands of the scars.

The principle of Subcision is to break the fibrotic strands, which tether the scar to the underlying subcutaneous strands making the depressed scars more shallow as the collagen of the skin remodels.

For best results, it can be easily combined with other treatments such as lasers and chemical peels. The procedure may be repeated after 1 year for the best outcome. Book an appointment to know what treatment protocol is best for you. ✨
